The full form of ANM is Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery . ANM is a diploma course that focuses on the study of various people’s healthcare. In addition to education, it also helps students to learn how to take care of equipment and its maintenance, set up operating rooms, provide medicine to patients on time and keep track of the records.

After getting the degree of ANM, you can work at any health care facility. The responsibilities that you need to take up is to take care of the patients as well as help the doctors in treating the patients. We can list a few of the responsibilities here within:

• Feeding meals to the patients
• Providing timely medications to the patients
• Washing. Toileting and dressing the patients who cannot these on their own, or to assist those patients who can perform these tasks on their own

The ANM course duration varies among different Indian institutes.

It often varies from one to three years. In individual institutes, the course can be offered on a part-time basis also. The minimum eligibility criteria for applicants interested in pursuing an ANM course are mentioned below.

• Candidates with science stream in their 12th class will be preferred.



 Time of exams

Exams usually take place in the month of June & admit cards can be downloaded a few weeks before the exams. The results are declared in the month of September every academic year.
